Band founder Jon Philpot in soundcheck contemplation.
Adam Wills handles the guitar while Joe Stickney mans the traps.
Jon sings!
He's ready for his closeup, and any Grateful Dead shows that might be passing through.
Stickney sticks with his sticks.
The view from behind the board.
hey're back in Canada Sept. 30 for a show at Salla Rossa in Montreal. After a few songs I realized it was time for me to be moving one, so I went back to the Subway Stage to check out Roy Rogers and The Delta Rhythm Kings. Here's the man himself and his nifty custom doubleneck. He once slung his axe for blues emperor John Lee Hooker, and has also backed Bonnie Raitt and Sammy Hagar, among others.
Bassman Steve Ehrmann new Hooker even longer than Roy.
Roy sings!
Billy Lee Lewis mans the traps.
A very solid performance by the seasoned performers.
- Show reminder: Caribou and Russian Futurists perform at Babylon; Mobadass and The Cody Allen Band are at Zaphod's; Myke Mazzei and The Mod Villains and The Rebel Year roll into the Rainbow; The Termights gnaw away the Elmdale. The Golden Isles float into the Avant-Garde Bar.
