Their loss

We're fortunate in Ottawa to have a number of houses occupied my music lovers willing to open their dwellings to a bunch of weirdos, namely other Ottawa music lovers, and also to provide a venue for musicians to make a few extra bucks without worrying about having to pay a soundman ... or indeed, without there even being a soundman. When Cousins and Special Noise rolled through town in their blue bus, they stopped at 443 Kent St. Local trio Get A Life Losers did the opening duties. What you think they sound like seems to depend on what vintage you are. I heard early Pink Floyd and Modern Loves, others say Minutemen and Saccharine Trust. Not a bad bunch to be compared to.

More drumming action with Tyler!

I suspect I was trying for some sort of snazzy lighting effect that did not really work here.

You can tell I wasn't moving around much - there was a good crowd for 443 Kent St.'s living room.

Faceoff action!

Even more Tyler!

This is about as good a picture as I got of Matt - next time I'll stand on the other side of the room.

There next show is with The Girlfriends and Barstool Layoffs Dec. 28 at Zaphod Beeblebrox.

I love house concerts and have been fortunate enough to attend a few at Amanda Putz's place. Great pics btw.

Thanks. There's always something nice and intimate about a house show.
