Books on Books followed the avant shred-keyboard noise of Pianosaurus Rex with their own brand of melodic fractured art rock. I have no damn idea what that means, so here are some pictures. There was much discussion of mellowness, and of bass player Scott Adams' young son Henry - like many babies, Henry can poop out amounts larger than his own body mass.
Here's Scott.
Ryan Hough got big feets. At least with a wide angle lens.
Conrad Amenta takes time to tap.
I took many fine pictures of Ryan Neeb's mic stand (I've discovered that autofocus loves mic stands); the only good ones of him are as part of a group ... here's one shot from the stairs.
And here's some shoegazing art-rock action. Not the Books on Books is hugely shoe-gazy, it's all a question of posture ...
There was also some chatter about their latest recording sessions, done with St. Bernard of Love man Michael Wieland. Apparently things go well.
